451 Marketing Internships!

About: 451 Marketing recognizes that great ideas can come from anyone‐ which is why our interns are involved in every level of our business. Our interns have high‐level organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask across multiple projects and responsibilities, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communications. Interns provide essential support to the internal marketing team including administration and research. We value interns who seize this important opportunity to learn more about PR, marketing, search optimization, and social media, the importance of teamwork, the industries we serve, and the agency’s business. We also encourage interns to ask questions and volunteer for assignments to help them grow in their positions.

451 MARKETING INTERN

Interns work closely with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator to develop tactical skills. On a given day while supporting our integrated marketing campaigns, a 451 intern could partake in the

following:

• Participate in team brainstorming sessions

• Manage day‐to‐day operation of 451 social media (Twitter, Facebook, Blog, etc.)

• Conduct market research on trends in social media, public relations, search engine marketing

• Work to develop pitches/research possible speaking events for our speaker panel

• Monitor for 451 media coverage and clip articles

• Write press releases/media advisories/blog posts

• Provide event support

451 PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN

Interns work closely with account managers to develop tactical skills.

On a given day while supporting our integrated PR campaigns for a variety of local and national consumer and hospitality brands, a 451 intern could partake in the following:

• Participate in team brainstorming sessions

• Conduct client market research

• Listen‐in on client/team update calls

• Develop targeted press lists

• Monitor for client coverage and clip resulting articles

• Write press releases/media advisories

• Provide event support

451 SOCIAL MEDIA/SEO INTERN

On a given day while supporting our integrated social media campaigns for a variety of local and national consumer and hospitality brands, a 451 intern could partake in the following:

  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions
  • Listen‐in on client/team update calls
  • Conduct client market research
  • Monitor for client coverage on social media sites and blogs
  • Provide event support
  • Update Twitter/Facebook for clients

451 social media interns will learn about the following:

  • Social media i.e. why it’s important
  • How to use Twitter and Facebook from both a person and business perspective
  • How to write an SEO optimized blog post
  • SEO fundamentals
  • Mashable.com
  • Location based services (Foursquare, SCVNR, Whrrl, etc)
  • Basic social media analytics (Google Analytics, Bit.ly, TweetReach, etc)
  • Successful social media campaigns
  • Branding
  • Social media terminology

451 social media interns are:

  • Passionate about social media
  • Knowledgeable about Twitter and Facebook
  • Knowledgeable about Social Media as a whole
  • Able to promptly locate timely information via Search
