UpWord Search Marketing Digital Marketing & Copywriting Internship

Digital Marketing & Copywriting Internship

Content is at the heart of digital marketing today, and it fuels a website’s organic success in search engine rankings. Content can come in many shapes and sizes – local, social, blog, landing page, press release – and each has their own use within a larger digital marketing strategy.

Our goal is to provide our intern with a hands-on, practical, educational and enjoyable experience.  Our intern will help develop client strategy and write copy for on-site pages, blog pages, and social media channels. In addition, the intern will use web analytics to spot actionable insights,  and/or research new business opportunities.

We are looking to find an aspiring marketer who is looking for an eventual marketing career after graduation.  Some of the responsibilities of an intern include:

  • Content Creation: Developing copy for new website pages, blogs, and social media. Additionally, contributing to the company blog, social media and whitepapers.
  • Research and Strategy: Researching and strategizing on actual client projects, in collaboration with the UpWord team.
  • Learning: Learning and teaching others internally about new industry trends, marketing tools, and content strategy.

  • Intern must be able to invest a minimum of 8-16 hour/week
  • Have a major interest in writing, digital marketing, social media and technology.
  • Solid communication skills and ability to pay close attention to details
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PPT). (Google Analytics and/or HTML skills are a major plus)
  • Social media presence and experience
  • All majors can apply. Marketing majors and English majors a plus.
  • GPA above 3.0
