Boston Life Marketing Internship Position
Description: We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Marketing Intern ASAP. This part-time position will entail data entry, creating questionnaires and show-stopping flyers, networking with business and government officials to promote our organization, researching competitors, working closely with the Executive Director on effective marketing strategies, as well as work on other promotional projects.
Requirements:
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), Adobe
- Research Skills: Able to find information readily on the Internet
- Organizational Skills: Detailed, takes initiative, independent, reliable, and can work within deadlines

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay Special Event Fundraising Internship
Description: Participants in the internship program will assist the special events team with activities that help to raise funds through planning, supporting and implementing of special events to meet agency revenue goals. You will work in a “hands-on” environment with individuals who respond daily to critical community issues. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the not-for-profit sector, as well as develop above-entry-level skills.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily responsible for assisting the special events team with activities that support event planning and logistics, fundraising and stewarding donors.
- Assist with mass mailings, data entry, invoicing, acknowledging and stewarding of donors, and other department projects
- Provide support to events as needed
- Provide other administrative support as needed
Qualifications:
- Availability to work approximately 8-10 hours per week for the fall semester
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, but can also handle independent projects.
- Must be able to multi-task and be extremely detail-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with cold-calling and donation solicitation.
- Familiarity with walk/cycling based pledge events is a plus.
- Creativity and the ability to think “outside-of-the-box” is desired.
Other Details: Unpaid. If applicable, experience can be used for credit in internship course.

Description: To develop, establish, and maintain internal and external marketing and publicity strategies to further the mission of Transnational Law Review. The marketing/publicity editor shall generally be responsible for the following:
- Managing and coordinating all marketing, advertising and promotional activities.
- Developing and implementing a marketing plan and future publicity.
- Managing the productivity and success of the marketing plan and projects.
- Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on all marketing activities.
- Satisfying marketing deliverables in accordance with agreed upon budget and timeline.
Requirements: Must be an undergraduate student enrolled at Suffolk University. This position would be ideal for a student who is interested in pursuing a career, for example, in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, international studies, law, or social media.

Description: New England Healthcare Institution (NEHI) is looking for a bright, hungry pr-savvy intern who has a passion for the news and is interested in gaining experience in health care communications. As a NEHI communications intern, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work at a national health policy think tank and interact with senior-level executives throughout the organization. We offer the opportunity to gain real experience, flexible hours, and a T-pass.
Responsibilities: While you’ll be able to help out with day-to-day activities, the core element of the internship will be focused on helping NEHI with a media relations project and sharpening our social media strategy. If you know how to track down reporters, have experience building media lists (and understand they are the lifeblood of media outreach), and live and breathe social media then you could be the perfect candidate.

Special Events Intern @ The American Diabetes Association
The American Diabetes Association invites college students interested in non-profit work, fundraising and special events to participate in an internship with the New England market’s Special Events team.
Description:
Work with Special Events staff to assist with participant experience, engagement and communications for the signature events of the American Diabetes Association – the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes and the Tour de Cure cycling events.
The main focus of this internship will be on pre-day of event and day of event logistics, data management, and maximizing our online fundraising tools (Convio).
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate pre-day of event and/or day of event logistics.
- Work with event participants to encourage the utilization of our online fundraising tools.
- Analyze and manage data from participant and donor reports.
- Research and cultivate relationships with new and current vendors.
- Create multiple email communications to current/past walkers and cyclists encouraging event participation, recruitment and fundraising.
- Manage volunteer recruitment efforts and volunteer training.
- Assist with the management of a $100,000+ regional pin-up campaign.
- Provide general support to Special Event staff as needed.
